NASS Safety and Health Awareness Day2017 - Safety Leadership Module
EEF Technology Hub, Aston Birmingham
21st June 2017 at 14:13
The emphasis for Health and Safety Leadership for the NASS Safety and Health Awareness Day 2017 was to focus on Communication and Managing Risk to create a safe working environment. Leadership involves creating a
compelling vision of the future, communicating that vision, and helping people
understand and commit to it. Managers, on the other hand, are
responsible for ensuring that the vision is implemented efficiently and
successfully. Of course, these two roles overlap –
and, to be fully effective, you need to fulfil both roles.
Follow the tool box activities and associated case studies below to identify your communication strengths and weaknesses as a manager and leader in a Steel Service Centre environment and how well you can extrapolate vital information given to you by your employees about risks associated with their daily tasks...
