New Member Service – Credit Intelligence from Graydon UK
As reported to Members last month, at a number of recent Product Group meetings within NASS concern has been expressed that, with the major increases in steel prices happening in the market, companies need to look at their customers’ credit ratings and ability to pay. It is the opinion of certain members of NASS that there is likely to be an increase in company failures going forward.
We urge you to be vigilant with your credit control measures and, with this in mind, we are pleased to announce that we have been working with Associate Member, Graydon UK Ltd., to provide a new service for members that will help protect them from bad debts within the sector. Members will be able to check the financial risk of their potential and existing companies, suppliers or business partners in the UK or abroad, and the credit checks are available instantly on-line. The information provided is ideal for risk analyses, credit checking or research.
As a global provider of credit reports and business information, Graydon already has a well established Metals Intelligence Network that gathers valuable information from within the network and other forums which enable it to provide assessments about businesses in the steel sector and the people behind them.
Members of NASS will shortly begin to receive Level 1 Risk Analysis reports (example attached) about companies within the industry upon whom Intelligence Alerts have been generated. After receipt of this Report, if more in-depth information is required, then NASS Members can choose to access Graydon’s Intelligence Network, via the homepage of NASS' website, www.nass.org.uk, in one of two ways:
- Button 1 on the website will allow registered users access to the full range of Graydon products, including their Metals Intelligence Network service - this unique service is available to any NASS members who are new to the Network at a special introductory rate of £400 for the first year (a saving of 25% off the usual rate).
- Button 2, for non registered users, will allow Members to run company searches free of charge, with the option to purchase various levels of Risk Analysis reports at a cost of between £2.50 for a Level 2 Report, up to £21.00 for a Level 4 Report (Level 4 reports are available in 3 formats – Normal, Express or Superflash, and a full breakdown of charges for each level of Report is set out below). Payment is settled online with a credit card and there is no restriction on the number of searches undertaken.
